At Criado Wines we are pleased to celebrate with you the Malbec Month. On April 17th the world celebrates the Malbec Day, the day back on 1853, when a French winemaker, Aime Pouget brought the first grapes of Malbec to Mendoza.
A grape varietal with origins in Cahors, France, now is represented as it's best by Mendoza's terroir. High altitudes, mineral water from the meltdown of the Andes, 200 ml of annual rainfall with poor, alluvial and calcareous soils are the perfect ingredients for the development of thick skin grapes with great concentration of elegant tannins and wonderful acidity which ends in fine wines with a great aging potential.
Delighted to present you the finest representation of Mendoza's wines with grapes from the Uco Valley (Rutini and Zuccardi) and DO Lujan de Cuyo (Mendel) for you:
