Rutini The Trumpeter Malbec, 92 pts, from Neighbourhood Wine, Whelehan's and Blackrock Cellar:

"This wines epitomises the "new" Malbec for me. It has delightful depth on the mid-palate, plush but never jammy with blackcurrant and cherry, and a lifted floral prettiness with subtle lavender and violet notes. Oak is present but delicate and not the first thing that you notice. More in tune with Bordeaux than other new world styles."
