Terroirs of Mendoza 1 Case

Terroirs of Mendoza 1 is our first edition of the Terroirs of Mendoza Series that we will offer at Criado Wines.

This case includes 6 wines, 3 terroirs, 2 wines from each terroir. 

Felipe Staiti Luz de Noche Malbec 2022, comes from Vista Flores, Tunuyan, Uco Valley. This is the center of Uco Valley from north to south. 1100 meters altitude. Sandy, clay, small rocks creates refreshing Malbecs with lovely acidity and natural structure. Aged in stainless steel tanks with a cold maceration with carbonic gas, wine making techniques from Pommerol, France. Winery: Bodega Monteviejo, Clos de los 7. This wine is part of the Felipe Staiti line. 14% Alc

Drink alone or pair it with a rib eye steak.

Rutini Trumpeter Malbec Syrah 2023. A special blend that adds 40 % of Syrah from high altitude vineyards, Gualtallary, Tupungato, northern Uco Valley. This adds a special spice touch to the classic bouquet of black fruits that the Malbec grape offers. 6 months in used French and American oak creates a very well balanced, crunchy fruited blend, with refreshing acidity and soft tannins.  13 % Alc

Drink alone or pair with tacos al pastor.

Catena Zapata Apellation Lunlunta Malbec 2021. This Malbec comes from old vines located  in Lunlunta, Maipu at 950 metres of altitude with deeper top soils including more clay and less rocks than the Uco Valley. This wine offers a nose full of black fruits and violets, sweet and fruity tannins with a refreshing acidity. 12 months of French oak barrels smooth the tannins and creates a lovely balanced finishing. Alc 14%
